Ages 4-6, half-day session

Spend a week digging into real farm projects and enjoying the summer bounty with healthy snacks you harvest and prepare! Investigate the living soil where organic farming begins, then journey beyond the farm to find your wild side in the forest. Explore the important links between a healthy natural environment and a robust organic farm. Get to know the wild animals who can be both helpers and pests on the farm. Get creative by working on your own garden plot and design a mini farm to take home. Help share the fruits (and vegetables!) of your labor and fight hunger in our community by harvesting produce for a local food bank. To end the week, bring the harvest home with a camper-lead farmer’s market where families can shop for free.
 

Throughout the week, campers will experience:

• Storytelling, songs and team building
• Creative play and hands-on activities
• Real fun farm projects and skill building
• Harvesting and eating fresh farm foods
• Hearty farm-to-fork snacks that campers help harvest and prepare
• Hay ride tour of 30-acre organic production farm      

Camp cost: $230 (half-day price)

Includes: t-shirt, nature journal, take-home crafts, 10am – 2pm
