Dig In! (Ages 4-6) Half Day

If you’re ready to get down and dirty on a real working farm, this camp is for you! Dig in to real farm projects like planting, weeding, and watering in the farm field and garden beds. Harvest and prepare fresh farm snacks, explore the soil where organic farming begins, get to know animal helpers and pests, and discover how a healthy natural environment supports Oxbow’s robust farm. Help share the fruits (and vegetables!) of your labor and fight hunger in our community through a special harvest to benefit local food banks. Travel back in time and experience the history of farmers settling in the Snoqualmie Valley through interactive games, stories, and challenges. Get a behind-the-scenes peek at how food gets from the fields to your table, and participate in a veggie packing relay game!

The fun doesn’t have to stay on the farm! Our Camp Farm Stand will be open at the end of every camp day so you can take home your new-found favorite organic veggies and support the Oxbow mission. The week ends with a fun, bountiful, free Family Farmer’s Market led by all our campers!

Session includes: Oxbow summer camp t-shirt, nature journal, and crafts
